Our Roof Drain Sump Pans were developed by Jim Seitzinger, a licensed plumbing contractor in Southern California. His custom sheet metal sump
pan designs are the result of continual requests from roofing contractors, building owners, and others to solve the ponding rainwater issues on their flat
The problem is a common one; flat roofs, where standing rainwater accumulates, often have NO drains at all, or the existing roof drain either sits too high on the roof deck, or is not properly placed, etc., and does not allow the rainwater to drain. The sump pan products we provide solve these problems.
After investigating the marketplace, Jim found that there was no quick and easy system to lower the level of the drain. The industry standard method used
by the roofing industry has been build wooden drain boxes that are cumbersome, expensive & time-consuming to build, and often leak because of wet or dry
rot, or both, of the wood. THESE OLD DRAIN METHODS ARE OUTDATED TECHNOLOGY!
The answer to these problems are available here on our website. Jim's products represent NEW AND IMPROVED DRAINAGE TECHNOLOGY in the construction industry, and it's now available for your use.
These design and development of these products is the result of hard work and persistence. They typify "American Ingenuity", finding a new and better way to accomplish something. American inventiveness and creativity are still hard at work. As such the US Patent office has granted a patent. These products are protected under U.S. patent no. US 7,946,087 B1.
Mr. Seitzinger is very involved in the plumbing industry and is available to answer any questions on these products or the installation process. We encourage
